Wellitix for Taft Hartley's

Wellitix Overview
The Wellitix analytics service, co-offered with the Center for Employee Health Studies (School of Public Health, University of Illinois at Chicago), provides Taft-Hartley Funds with actionable insights into the drivers of medical, Rx, vision and dental expense. Wellitix is designed from the ground up to take advantage of the wealth of insights that live within Funds’ claims data.

Armed with these insights, Taft-Hartley’s – or their business partners –  can take a wide range of actions to achieve cost savings. These actions can include modifications to existing benefit offerings, creating new offerings, or performing in-depth evaluations of existing programs (for example wellness program effectiveness).

The diagram below provides examples of some of the areas where savings can typically be realized by Taft-Hartley’s:

How It Works
Wellitix is a cloud based solution that provides Taft-Hartley Fund managers with secure and easy access to analytics that track population health and member use of medical, Rx, vision and dental benefits.

Key platform features include:

  • Summaries of disease states, utilization, and cost trends
  • Benchmarking of Funds against similar risk adjusted populations
  • Benchmarking of Taft-Hartley Funds within the parent Coalition
  • Custom Reports
  • Secure direct access to the database for Taft-Hartley authorized business partners such as consultants, disease management firms, etc.

Consulting Services
While Wellitx has powerful analytics capabilities, more complex questions and realizing actual cost savings can require consulting skills and expertise. For this reason, the platform supports secure, direct access by Fund’s third party consultants or Wellter and its partner, the Center for Employee Health Services (part of the School of Public Health, University of Illinois at Chicago) can provide consulting services.
